![]() I've been taking friends to see this since it opened. This show is very intense, not for the faint of heart and all that (nobody's going to leap out and grab your arm or anything), not the sort of thing you'd want to do for a first date. The production has been extended, so there are tickets available. I highly recommend it to anyone in or near New York City. This is the sort of thing you can do on your own- if you go with others it's very likely that you will be separated from them (don't worry, you end up where you started and it's easy to reconnect). The environment is complex and enormous, near the end I realized that there were areas that I hadn't seen at all. At other points the entire audience was present. At one point I darted into an undertaker's office just as it was being closed off by the actor and witnessed a ritual that only 2 others saw. You are not to interact with the actors, but they may choose to interact with you. The experience reminded me of my childhood fantasies of leaping out of the "Doom Buggy" in the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland and wandering about to poke through things. The actors mostly preform through their actions, there are few spoken words. ![]() The audience is masked (you can keep the mask as a souvenir) and is encouraged to explore. There are several floors of rooms that the audience is free to wander about in. "Sleep No More" is an unusual production of Macbeth in what purports to be a hotel.
